Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Once you’ve created a brand mission, it’s important to get the whole team on board, and on the bus. I spent a lot of time explaining K-Swiss’ new Entrepreneur strategy to the team, but I could tell that many people were skeptical. It wasn’t until we did our first launch event, at Shoe Palace on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, with Gary Vee, that people really understood the potential. The event was a huge success, and what happened? The next day people literally came into the office transformed into believers. It happened overnight. So the lesson learned is that talk is cheap, and to get some tangible wins early. To SHOW people, not just tell people.
